About
Massimo Serini, born in Rome in 1964, discovered at a very young age the vocation that would guide his entire life: telling the beauty of women through their hair. At just 17, he left the capital for London, where he trained at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy, continuing his education with Tony & Guy and at the Maurice Gerard International Academy in Lyon. This international background allowed him to merge Anglo-Saxon precision with French sensibility, shaping a personal language made of soft volumes, natural harmonies, and a deep attention to the individuality of every woman.
Returning to Rome at 21, he opened his first salon and quickly became a point of reference. His philosophy “Let me know your soul and I will know how to enhance your charm” is rooted in attentive listening, the observation of facial features, complexion, and gaze, and the ability to transform these insights into a look that accompanies a woman in real life, not only inside the salon.
At 40, he began a new chapter: an atelier in the heart of Rome, first in Via della Croce and later in the refined Via Borgognona, followed by a collaboration with the historic Hotel de Russie. From here, his journey into the worlds of cinema, fashion, and major international events took flight. He signs looks for Armani, Valentino, Chanel, Dior, Prada, Fendi, and travels between New York, London, Los Angeles, and Paris, becoming a constant presence at the Cannes Film Festival, the Venice Film Festival, and the Golden Globe Awards.
Many celebrities have entrusted their image to his talent: Salma Hayek, Susan Sarandon, Isabelle Huppert, Bella Hadid, Eva Herzigova, Linda Evangelista, Kirsten Dunst, Nicolas Cage, Javier Bardem, Princess Charlene of Monaco, Clotilde Courau, and numerous other leading figures in international cinema and fashion. A special place among his collaborations belongs to Carla Bruni, a contemporary icon of elegance. With her, Massimo has built a dialogue made of style, refinement, and deep artistic harmony, interpreting her natural beauty and timeless allure with great sensitivity.
An equally meaningful bond connects him with Angelina Jolie, with whom he has developed a professional relationship based on trust, discretion, and artistic sensitivity, contributing to redefining her image at pivotal moments in her career.
Among Massimo’s most cherished memories, a special one is reserved for Livia Firth, who gave him the privilege of accompanying Colin Firth on Oscar night—an experience that symbolizes the strength of the human relationships built over time. Equally pivotal was his meeting with Caroline Scheufele, CEO of Chopard, who opened the doors to an international world of elegance, luxury, and creativity, allowing him to fulfill a dream he had carried with him for years.
Today, after more than forty years of career, Massimo Serini continues to devote his life to Beauty with undiminished passion. In his Atelier, he guides every woman toward discovering an authentic, harmonious image that makes her feel the protagonist of her everyday life. Because hair is not just an aesthetic detail: it is identity, emotion, and story. And Massimo Serini has always been one of its most refined interpreters.
A special thanks goes to all those who have accompanied him on his journey, and especially to his parents, who gave him the most precious gift of all: life.
